How the Chamber can Help

How Trinity County Helps Local Businesses

When starting a business in Trinity County, you need the right resources and allies to be successful. Membership for the Trinity County Chamber of Commerce provides both by being a strong advocacy group that aims to improve the county’s business climate, economy, and quality of life. Below are a few examples of how being a Chamber member can grow your company’s visibility and credibility within the local business community.

Relocation Packets

The Chamber Office and Visitor Center receive several yearly requests for relocation information. Member information is provided to help people interested in moving to our county and needing products and services.

Referrals

We receive hundreds of requests for information regarding our county each year, both online and by phone and mail. Our office mails out packets of member brochures and Recreation Guides daily in response to these visitor requests. Business brochures and business cards are displayed for visitors in our office and kiosks throughout the county, maximizing your company’s exposure to locals and visitors alike.

Visitor Friendly Website

The Chamber hosts www.VisitTrinity.com, a recreation, tourism-oriented website. Our website has been upgraded to be friendly to the newest technology now available to visitors. Our members are listed on the appropriate pages for easy searching and viewing. Links to members’ websites allow simple access to all your information available to potential customers. Links are not available to non-members.

Other Online Presence

The Chamber website hosts a business directory of all member businesses, with links to their websites. Flyers and current event information are updated continually on the calendar of events. Notable events in your community, which bring visitors to your business, are highlighted on the calendar. The Trinity County Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook Page emphasizes the reasons to visit Trinity County and includes postings from our members.

Visitor Kiosks Located Around the County

Along with our Visitor Center/Chamber Office in historic downtown Weaverville, we have been installing new visitor kiosks in outlying areas of the county. The biggest kiosk is located at Tops Market in Weaverville and has supplied many visitors with member brochures. It also has a scrolling list of events happening in Trinity County. Members are given preference in all these locations, and chamber staff refills the brochures regularly.

Information Resource

The Chamber is instrumental in setting up workshops to keep members up to date with current business practices and technology. We also provide members the necessary information to stay current with local business-related issues.

Chamber Advertising & Networking

The Chamber advertises the county and its events and activities local businesses offer in various publications. We also host events and mixers to help inform, create contacts, and renew friendships among members.

Promotional Assistance

Use of the Chamber bulk mailing permit, our office copier, fax, and promotional boards for flyers are available for members. Chamber members and office staff also offer assistance with writing press releases, promotional pieces, or brochures. Upon request, we hold grand openings, groundbreakings, and ribbon cuttings associated with the Trinity Journal.
